We first made solid shampoo truckles ten years ago when we were starting up we didn’t have a lot of money to buy bottles or moulds or packaging. The originals were made in washing up bowls and cat litter trays (new ones, we hasten to add, straight from the pet shop and untouched by kitty). Solid shampoo can be wrapped up in grease proof paper to minimise resources; it lasts ages and works brilliantly. If you didn’t already know that, now’s the time to try one.
To use: wet your hair, lather up your chunk of shampoo in your hands or, if it’s short, with a quick rub around your hair; that’s enough to get you clean. Rinse, condition: lovely!
