YOU CAN JUDGE A NATION BY HOW IT TREATS ANIMALS!
Animals can't vote, they can't protest, they can't lobby MPs. They are completely dependent on good, caring people to defend them from abuse and suffering. We know that most people are opposed to animal cruelty, but successive Governments have ignored public opinion in favour of big business and maximising profits.
Once every few years we have the opportunity to show politicians how we feel - the forthcoming General Election is our next chance and we must take it. By showing that votes are won and lost on animal issues, we can make sure that politicians begin taking animal cruelty seriously.
There is no simple formula for deciding who is the best candidate in each constituency. Our aim is to encourage tactical voting - aiming to protect the ban on hunting, while helping candidates and parties who have demonstrated their genuine commitment to helping animals.
As you know, Lush cares deeply about protecting animals and we are so pleased to be supporting Protecting Animals in Democracy (PAD), who aim to turn our concern for animals into a peaceful, compassionate force for change. Their ground-breaking project needs your support, and all it will take is the click of a mouse.
To find out if your candidates care about animals here's what you need to do:
1. Visit www.vote4animals.org.uk
2. Enter you post code.
3. Choose a candidate and send them a pre-made questionnaire.
4. Check back to find out what they think.
Their replies will be published at www.vote4animals.org.uk. Close to Election Day, the experts
at PAD will provide recommendations for each constituency to help you cast your vote
in a way that gives animals real hope for a better future, safe from cruelty.
