My daughter and me love Charlotte. She smells absolutely gorgeous, gives a nice healthy glow and could easily be a girl's best friend.rnWe are only giving her 4 stars though as she came to France on holiday ... sadly the flight didn't agree with poor Charlotte, she blew up in our faces on the first day and smelled really OFF, so sadly we had to part company. She was forgiven and replaced by a new younger sister!

OMG! Thank you Lush! Finally I can stop wearing those tanning lotions that smell awfully and leave you with orange glow. This gives you a light tan and glow while I find it very moisturising. Looks wonderful speacially on my legs that are always terribly white. Few tips, put a small ammount on your hands, spread it and then apply on your totally dry skin. Spread it immediately! And ta da!! Awsome summer look!

Firstly it smells gorgeous, like a tasty hot chocolate and goes on like a dream. It does look scarily dark on the bottle but as an English Rose complexion it adjusted to my skin tone and just gave me a natural glow (no Jodie Marsh/David Dickinson). A little goes a long way, it is easy to rub in and washes thoroughly off your hands. It stayed on until I had a bath and didn't stain my clothes!

Absolutely love it - I am very pale and normally horribly allergic to fake tans but this has given me a healthy glow and no nasty rash. It is a bit difficult to rub in, but I've found if you pop on some body lotion first it does help. It's totally worth the extra step and I will definitely be buying a larger bottle next time.

Really really liking Charlotte Island at the moment - I'm on an acne drug and therefore am not allowed in the sun AT ALL. Also self-tanning products are not a good idea considering the treatment. I mix Charlotte Island with my dry skin moisturiser and it goes on fantastically - I think its a bit patchy if used on its own cos it tends to dry quickly but so easy to use when mixed with ur usually body lotion/moisturiser and gives a lovely subtle glow - no orange patches here!

This smells great, it blends in well, doesnt leave any streaks but the bad thing about it for me is it makes absolutely no difference to my skin tone at all. Once its rubbed in if you have very fair skin the effect would be quite subtle and nice. As I am naturally already tanned this doesnt show up on me - I thought it would give my skin a glowy boost but it makes no difference. I will still use it up though as the smell is great and it leaves my skin feeling nice

Wonderful. Goes on reallye asi;y wth no streaks. Coulour lasted all day and did not stain anything.

I only got a sample of this but I have to say I'm in love with Charlotte! I used it on my arms and legs and while it was quite difficult to rub in, once I did it gave a lovely subtle glow to my skin. I don't like looking tanned but this didn't really give a colour which is great for me, it just made me look less pale and wan as usual! Lovely smell, very unusual but addictive and long lasting. Really smooth texture, it felt like rubbing chocolate desert over myself. Tasty!

this is so ace! 1st of all..NO smelly fake tan smell! it smells kinda chocolate musk.. really nice! 2nd a little goes a long way...i only bought small bottle done my whole legs and only used as much as i would shampoo on my hair! AWESOME! thirdly NO STREAKS!! and finally... the colour in bottle is daunting but goes on to make a beautiful even nice colour!!! lush... yet another super product!! xx

Smells nice, feels nice,looks nice on my skin... BUT...only lasts about 2 hours, which is a shame.rnAlso, stains everything it touches.

Nowhere near dark enough for me. Im naturally pale but I like quite dark fake tan, currently using a £2.99 mousse and it makes me lovely and dark, no streaks, so I'm afraid I'll be sticking with that.

I got a large sample of this and love it. I haven't done a full body application, but have used it on my face (which says a LOT as I am very wary of putting things on my face) and it gives the most gorgeous natural glow.

wow :O amazing im usually the palest of pales but this gives me a natural looking perfect golden tan!!! I dont like the smell, but thats just me. Will DEFINATELY buy again!! :D

I used it and i got the most beautifulllll natural looking tan !!!!!!!!! and the smell id so exotic! rndries immidiatly and does not stain ;-)

Love this! Have been looking for a subtle tint for when I go on holiday (I hate being white as a ghost for the first 3 days!!). This is it - smells divine, nice natural colour - not a hint of David Dickenson!rnSome tips though: a little goes a long way, as with all self tan products the result is much better if you exfoliate first (sugar scrub works wonders), and for a really natural look I did my legs with an old pair of flip flops on for some subtle little tan lines :oD

its embarrassing how many lush products i use ....but i assure you ...THIS ONE IS A MUST FOR PALE SKINS. honestly ...its easy to apply ..colur is natural and can build on it for whatever shade you want. i personally dont like the smell....but hey a small price to pay for a superior tanning product. its a shame it is not semi permanent ...colour is that good. .

A little goes a long way, and unlike most self tans, this doesn't smell nasty & synthetic. A good colour, and it manages to make me took like I've had a really good holiday. Thanks Lush! :-)

This product is fab :). I gave up with fake tan as i couldn't find one that didn't streak and go orange. Then i saw this and had to have a go.This product gives you a georgous glow and doesn't go to dark or orange. I put this one just before i go out so the colour is at it's strongest. It drys extremly fast and th erefor doesnt rub on your clothes. Thank you so much lush :) I would deffently recomend this xx

As Jim Bowen would say... Super smashing great ;-)rnrnTo be slightly more constructive, don't let the colour in the bottle put you off, I'm fair and it looks great on me. It has the scent of 'just got in from the beach' and looks like I've had a week in the sun rather than a quick colour wash after a shower!

This is the perfect tanning lotion for pale people. I'm extremely pale and was reluctant to use this because it looked so brown in the bottle. But when I tried it out it suited me amazingly!! I didn't believe anything would. I'm so happy, BRING ON THE SUNSHINE!

I really like this product. Smells great and you only need a little when using, otherwise I fear it may look too browny/orange! It drys super fast as well, it lasts for quite a while and the good thing about it is that it washes off if you maybe have used a tad too much!! Vegan as well!!

I have mixed feelings about this; it smells lovely, and it does apply nicely. Although you have to be quick or it dries and flakes when you rub it. On my arms and legs it was a beautiful tan, but on my chest/neck/face, it turned a strange brick red!

Could someone please review this regarding the color it makes your skin, and also is it a bronzer which washes off after the first wash or an actual lasting self tanning product? Thanks :)

i'll admit I was initially drawn to this as i'm called charlotte butttttttttttt..... It smells the double of the clinique purfume happy which is amazing!! rnrni also love the fact it's a wipe on wash off job, which means i can tan my legs for a night out and then wash away for the rest of my week. rnrnthankyouuu!! :D

Tried it in store and smelt so delicious that I had to have it!! Its a really nice subtle colour. So glad I got it!!

Tried it today in store and had to buy some! Love it! It smells like chocolate! When I got home had a good scrub with sugar scrub then slapped on moisturiser before applying this have to say fantastic colour! Looks amazing!!
