Found this product a bit runny, I prefer shampoos to be a bit thicker. I also didn't really like the smell, but it wasn't as bad once it was washed out.

Smells just like Karma. Quite runny and I find it quite hard to froth up without using a little bit more than I would like to (I want this bottle to last forever!) Makes my naturally wavy hair go sort of ringlet-y when I let it dry on its own, and with a hairdryer my hair feels so so thick.

i love this shampoo best one i have tried at lush and salon n drugstore brand i love the scent smells of cola bottles or coke wham bars :-) i love it!

I've tried I Love Juicy, Big, Daddy -o- and this and CSS was the best one.rnIt makes your hair incredibly shiny, and volominous but in a conditioned way. The hair doesn't look so dry as it does with Big. It's detangled and doesn't get frizzy in damp air. rnAnd it smells devine, like peach or lemon ice tea. rnThe only downside is that the hair gets greasy very quickly. In this case I Love Juicy was the best one.

Smells gorgeous (like cola bottles) and after using it I can just let my hair dry naturally into soft shiny waves whereas before it would just be a poofy thicket of tangles!

A really good shampoo that does exactly what it says on the bottle. Whenever I dry my hair I always end up looking like I've had an electric shock but no more! I used this and smoothed jungle on the ends of hair and I've never seen my hair looking so soft, smooth and silky. Knocked a star off as I found the smell a but meh but the results more than make up for it! :-)

I never bought this product as the name always put me off somehow.rnI received a free bottle in a goody bag from Lush when I went for an interview (didn't get the job though...meanies!!) ...rnI can't believe I have missed out on this shampoo for so many years!!! It's divine! Smells gorgeous and leaves my fine limp hair, sooooo shiny and bouncy and just perfect!! Thank you Lush :)rnI still think you gave the wrong girl the job tho!!!!!

This shampoo is perfect for my dull, fine, greasy, flyaway-prone hair. It's the only shampoo I've ever tried which gives my hair glossy shine, weight and a well-behaved texture. I've been searching for something like this for many years! It also smells wonderful. I use it with Veganese and get great results.

Don't be put off by the smell of this product, although I admit it is very strong and not very nice, you should give this product a chance. It did wonders for my hair, once I lathered the shampoo into my hair the smell disappeared completely and it didn't linger afterwards. It made my hair feel soft and helped to brighten my highlights. I find it works well with Veganese conditioner.

totally made my hair terrible. made it heavy and greasy and urgh. i'd wash my hair on the monday morning and by late evening it'd be horrid. tuesday morning, it'd be disgusting and greasy. my hair is NEVER like that. smells gorgeous and does produce a good shine, but definately not for me. passed it on to my boyfriend who loves it. hopefully it'll work more for him than me. sorry lush. :(

My favourite shampoo, hands down! The smell is great, cleans well and above all, it flattens my thick, voluminous, poofy hair as well as flyaways. Not oily or dry. Perfect!

This is definitely one for people with hair that gets greasy easily. I never need conditioner or moisturising shampoos because my hair becomes flat instantly so this is the perfect product for me. Once lathered up the smell is divine and lasts ages, plus my hair feels really clean afterwards and it nourishes without weighing it down. Love it.

The best Lush shampoo I've tried. I love the smell (which sounds odd as it smells like beer and cognac, but it's really great :D), and I love using it, it cleans my hair and makes it shiny. It seems though that my hair gets greasier faster than before, but I may be wrong about that. But the really bad thing is that it contains ALS. And I'm sorry, but I think this was the last Lush shampoo I bought, since all of them have ALS and/or SLS. .. If only you made one without those.. :/

This shampoo sounded perfect on paper, but in reality my hair didn't love it. It's normally a little dry after I've rinsed my shampoo out, but CSS made my hair incredibly dry. So dry in fact, that I had to slather it in American Cream immediately as it became matted. That said, my hair dryed beautifully and felt soft and shiny. I'm pretty sure that's down to my trusty Ameerican Cream, though!

I have very long, straight, greasy, fly-away, brown hair. This is the best shampoo I have EVER used (and I have tried lots). It stops all fly-aways, keeps it clean for 2-3 days with only 1 wash, and gives amazing shine. It also stops bits sticking up at my parting. I will never change to anything else. Thank you Lush! xxx

Bought a huge bottle of this a while ago, because "fluffy" is an excellent description for my big waxy hair. I can't say I feel this shampoo particularly helps this issue, and I don't love the smell although it is quite pleasant, I still like it. I might re-purchase, I'm not sure yet.

not convinced aabout this one - i have dark,wavy, fluffy, frizz prone hair - that describes my hair both before using this and after. Yes my hair feels ok, its not especially shiny, the scent hasnt lasted at all. I would say this performs no better than the average £2-3 shampoo at the local chemist.

This was recommended by Lush in Hull so bought a small bottle to try over Christmas, everyone in the family tried it. Fab on stepbro's "student" hair and mum and mine's "coloured assisted" hair have just stocked up on the biggest bottle you do! Teamed with American Cream conditioner - just perfect !

I love this shampoo the only thing is the lid and that its not easy to lather up, so i use a plain no smelling shampoo, put the shampoo on top which i find easier. Still worth the money! :)

I have thick, tempermental hair - sometimes it gets greasy fast, other times it goes dry and coarse; combination hair if you will. Cynthia Syliva Stout gave my hair the right amount of everything. It weighed it down without making it flat, conditioned it enough without making it lank, and made it shine without looking artifical and producty. Moreover, a little bit of this product lathers well and goes a long way! Most excellent.

Love the smell and love what this does to my hair. I think this shampoo is my all time favourite Lush scent. Can't say more than that.

I love the smell of this! Its sooo refreshingbut really warm too! This gave my curly hair just the right weight it needed to be when I left it to dry naturally and gave it the most shiniest curls and made the ends stop flicking after 10 minutes when I straightened it. It didn't really moisturize it much as the bottle claimed though =[

this is probably my favourite shampoo. it gave my hair weight (in a good way) and made it very .. nice really. gave it a nice texture and made it managable. plus it made my hair feel cleeeeean.

I've used this a few times and have been disappointed. I was recommended this as I have dry, frizzy, wavy hair. I love the smell but my hair is still frizzy. I will use all of the bottle as it was quite expensive but I think I'll try another one next time. 'Tis a shame :-(

Oh this one is definitely MY shampoo !!! First I love its smelt (beer and cognac), then my hair is really clean and for longer than with other shampoos (l'oreal for example makes my hair greasy in 24 hours !!!), and citrus essential oil makes it bright !!! I really love this one, really !

ive thought i would try this, as it smelled nice and beery (is that a word), in the shop. it was amazing! my hair felt so thick and soft and it didnt get greasy so quickly either. i will definately be buying this again.

I was given a sample of this by my local Lush shop and loved it. I bought it now and can't describe how amazing my hair looks after using it... so bright, shiny, smooth ... and it smells delicious!!! It goes straight into my favourites list!

I bought a 100g of this on recommendation of Helen from the Lush in cardiff as my hair gets greasy quickly. i have used it twice and i love it. I would definatly buy it again

Hm, not half bad. It gets my hair squeaky clean, and my hair doesn't turn into a bird's nest in the damp any more. But it didn't really make my hair shiny, and it doesn't smell very nice. It's a decent shampoo, and I'd buy it again, but it's not a miracle worker.

Whoever you were, Cynthia, you were a wonderful person! I love this shampoo: the smell is gorgeous (NOT trampy!!) and made my hair all lovely and soft and shiny. I've got a shampoo bar at the moment so I can't quite justify to myself getting another bottle, but I definitely will. Its the best shampoo for my hair that I've ever come across! A keeper for sure.

I do like this, but only use it rarely as it's in a bottle! (I generally use Godiva, and also Curly Wurly.) It smells lovely and is very cleansing. Definitely gives my hair some extra shine, and de-fizzes it a little too when combined with conditioner (Jungle, as a rule). Stout is obviously one of the best things ever for hair, even in these crazy days of chemical madness! A great product.

When i got this shampoo, i was a little confused by the smell. I was on the fence about whether i liked it or not, and then suddenly i knew what it smelt like...GINGER BEER! rn I was comforted by the fact that i was putting 'ginger beer' in my hair, and i have to say, i really enjoy using cynthia sylvia stout because it makes my hair smooth and shiny, it lathers up really well, and because it smells like ginger beer!

I don’t use shampoo as I buzz cut my hair & even a shower makes my scalp itch madly afterwards - just from water! Thought I'd give lush a go and got a sample. I am dead impressed! It doesn't smell/look much but I was stunned at how little I needed - literally a dip of my small finger made a great soothing lather. I didn't need to moisturise my head, nor was it itchy. A day on the little hair I have is silky soft and my head is smooth and non itchy. I only wish I had more hair to use this on!

My frizzy curls are now shiny, soft and silky!!!! If you've got thick hair as well, this is perfect!!!!

My first Lush from Dublin U2 pilgrimage, when we had to find a shampoo in between those forever memorable concerts in July. Not too sweet or repulsive smell quite the contrary. Sort of a professional stuff, good combination of beer, lemon and natural oils. Fascinating & works well into what it´s made for.

I've used beer shampoo's before (mmmm beer!) which have always been great to my hair. I only wash my hair once a week, and this shampoo coupled with conditioner on the very ends of my hair keeps my hair holding out, even in the pollution of my area. The smell is quite nice, but does fade quite quickly, although now, 5 days after I last used it, my hair has a clean smell to it. I've just brought The Blonde because I've always wanted to try it, and I am attempting to try all the hair products! :)

At first I wasn't keen on the smell but I have gotten so used to it I love it now...I'm on my 6th big bottle of the stuff! I use this with American Cream conditioner and my usual frizzy hair is now soft, shiny and tameable!!

This is better than lots of commercially produced shampoos I have used, but unfortunately it dried my hair out a bit too much rather than adding the softness I hoped it would. However, from the other reviews it seems I'm in the minority here, so it's probably just me!!

Smells odd but you get used to it, and I liked it after a while. Makes my hair feel good, and gives a great cleansing.

Amazing results with this product, makes my hair feel really soft. Shine isn't amazing but looks glossier than before. The smell doesn't linger after drying, which I rather like. Will buy again, in bigger bottle size!

This has to be my fav lush product, I have quite dry curly hair and I had tried all of the frizzy hair products there were on the market which did little to tame my curls. After someone suggested I try a beer shampoo I had a go with this one, and I have not looked back since. It has my hair feel nice and shiny and it goes in to proper ringlets!

I love this shampoo! At first I thought the consistency was very watery so I was surprised at how thick and lovely the lather was! I used this with American Cream conditioner and my normally fluffy hair was transformed into lovely, delicious smelling smooth hair, its amazing I would defiantly get it again! x

I brought this product to preserve the henna dye in my hair.It leaves the colour looking revived and very soft and shiny. No need for conditioner and u only need to use a little. I love the smell aswell.I wasn't crazy about the smell when i bought it,not that i disliked it but just wasn't crazy bout it and now i adore it! Adds weight to my overwise quite fluffy hair.

Another 5 star product! I have rather evil, frizzy hair and have tried pretty much everything on the market, to no avail. Cynthia Sylvia Stout is my hair saviour! Used with American Cream and King of the Mods for blow drying, I ended up with hair that I thought was limited to fantasy shampoo ads! Not mad about the smell at first, but it really grew on me! There was no frizz and my hair was soft, silky and shiny :D Thanks, Lush! x

I love this stuff, it leaves my over coloured thick hair feeling so soft and looking so healthy, it even softens my hair after an hour or so in the pool. money well spent!

Used this shampoo for the 1st time yesterday along with jungle solid conditioner, it was like someone gave me a loan of someone elses hair, I could not believe how soft and shiny my hair was. Normally I am a GHD girl but there was no need for straigtners after using this magic potion. I have very thick fairly long and fluffy hair and only had to use the smallest amount of shampoo, this bottle is going to last for ages. Really amazed!!!

Fabby Fabby Fabby! I have fluffy mid length hair which never stayed straight! now it does! yay! I use this with veganese. Don't be put off by the price: if you use the amount you're meant to it will last ages. Also I love the fact that none of this stuff is artificial, and as it's going down the sink I know it won't be poisonous! yay!

I love this shampoo. The smell is lovely once your used to it. After using it for a month or so now can really see the difference in my hair!...even the hairdresser has noticed...i use lush conditioner after..jungle, coolaulin. Then once its dry i put a little tiny bit of coolaulin through the ends to stop fly aways and moisturises it throughtout the day....also extra bit of loevely smell. Mkaes my frizzy hair smooth and shiny.rn:)

The wonderful staff at Westfield's lush recommended I use this for my ridiculously static hair, which isn't a winter/dryness thing as I get it all year round and moisturise a lot. Anyway- it worked! Brilliant, I'll admit the smell first put me off but once you've lathered and rinsed it's a nice smell that lingers all day. And no alcoholic smell afterwards! A must buy.

This killed my hair. I used t after Reincarnate thinking it would repair my hair but it made it worse! When I felt my hair it was like straw! Not nice!!!!

I was dissapointed with this shampoo, it's not moisturising enough for my very thick frizzy hair & my scalp, & left my hair very squeaky & stripped.I had to use much more of my normal conditioner afterwards & my hair was still fluffy. It did make my hair shiny though but too strong for regular use.

I was finding the shampoo bars a little drying, even though I think they are fab! So I popped into Lush and asked what would be the most moisturising shampoo and was recommended this. At first I wasn't convinced of the smell but bought a small bottle anyway. I'm so glad I did because I was left with shiny, healthy hair. I use it with veganese and King of the mods to get that perfect, just styled look.

If you want a great pick me up in the morning, then go straight for this bottle! Great funky fragrance, and boy does your hair feel great when finished. Soft, shiny, and the wonderful fragrance stays around forever!!

The weird smell might put anyone off at first, especially as it is rather strong! However once showered and dried the lingering smell is attractive and isn't so bad..

smells odd, but a nice odd..... its a relaxing smell that reminds me of being in a thatched cottage with a log fire..... left my hair shiney and soft which is a big ask as i've thick curly hair..

Honestly this shampoo is the best I have EVER used I LOVE it soooooooooo much. It tames my frizzy hair, adds loads of shine and makes my hair really really soft. Even if I don't use conditioner my hair still looks good if I use this shampoo!

This is THE best shampoo I have ever used! Im constantly getting comments on how lovely and shiny my hair is, even from my hairdresser! it smells so lovely too! I team it up with jungle conditioner and it works fab!I cant recommend this stuff enough so stop buying from salons and get some beer on yer ed!

I have always been tempted to buy something as a treat for myself from LUSH, and what a treat this is. It's well worth the money and smells delish!

This shampoo smells amazing and I only need a tiny amount for it to lather up really nicely. It keeps my hair frizz-free and also makes it less oily so that I dont need to wash it as frequently! An amazing product!!!
