I've always loved this. Smells great and I can't stop running my fingers through my hair after I've used it because it feels so soft (that's the only bad bit - I look a bit of a fool doing that!). Thanks for the tip of leaving it to dry in the sun for extra highlighting - works for me.

This product made my hair amazingly light. I would give the full 5 stars if it was a bit cheaper. I know £7 isn't much but i used half the pot in one use, so the amount would add up to quite a total after regular use!

i could give 5 stars but the smell turn me off but it's a very good products my hair frizz less after one use and it's noticeably lighter. love this product.

I got this as a sample last weekend and i used it during the week. It smelt good and seemed to leave my hair feeling softer and shinier but i think you'd have to use it regularly to have an effect :) x

Smells great and leaves hair soft and shiny. I have dark blonde hair and have not noticed any lightening yet, but I'm sure it will with more uses. Only problem is that is is really thin so messy to use. Would be better if it came in a bottle rather than jar.

This is amazing! The smell is gorgeous, the feel of it when you put it on your hair gorgeous and when you brush through your hair and recognise that you have no tangles you feel gorgeous! I have gold and brown hair and I know this product is for blondes, but it hasn't changed my hair colour, instead it makes it lovely and soft, so I love it! x

Brightened rather than lightened my medium blond hair, but would continue using for the conditioning benefits alone. My scalp felt really soothed and my hair was light and tangle free.

I have very very light blonde hair (naturally) and loved this! Although I didn't notice any change in my hair colour it certainly had more of a shine to it and smelled great and very soft to the touch.

Wow!! Brilliant product! I put this on my hair then sat in the sun for 2 hrs. I didnt soak my hair as its thick and long but where i did put marilyn it turned lighter blonde and when i dried my hair it looked like i'd had highlights! Also my hair was soft and silky. My hair is dyed dark blonde/light brown and this product has lightened it loads! Last time i used marilyn(same tub still 1 application left) i didn't sit in the sun and it didn't lighten so i think it needs sun to change colour.

It smells really good and I would recomend it to natural blonds..

This product smells gorgeous, like a lemony chamomile tea, and its amazing on the hair. My hair went all icky and brownish over the summer, but I've used this twice in the sun nad its gone all blond again, a major difference! It makes my hair sooo soft as well, definitely a winner. Pricy, but worth it if you want to keep that healthy happy blondness!

Leaves my hair amazingly smooth and soft. Personally, I think the smell isn't the nicest - it smells like fusty pot purri and lingers for ages, but the condition of my hair after use is well worth it. Works great combined with the Blonde shampoo!

Only the faintest lift to my hair colour, but I expect these things take time and it's only my first wash! I am, however, the proud owner of the softest, swishiest hair EVER. It's great!

I really do feel like this brightened my dark blonde hair and it definitely made my hair super soft, but I don't feel like it made my hair that much more manageable or super conditioned. I'll probably buy it again though.

This really works! I applied it, left it for an hour, and washed it out with The Blode for super soft shiny hair that looks like it has summer highlights! By far the best treatment for blondes I have ever used! I used plenty as suggested, and still have enough for another three or four applications! (I have quite long hair, far below my shoulders, and it is very thick.) Yay and double yay! Will be buying again!

Wonderful stuff! Used it for the first time tonight, followed by the Blonde. I left it in for about 1 hour before washing it out. My hair feels supersoft, is very shiny and falls just the way I want it to. I didn't need as much as I thought I would! Definitely a keeper.

love this product sooooo much it is fab!!! i recently had my hair stripped from dark brown back to my natural blonde! obviously once it was done my hair was in desperate need of moisture and conditioning,so i went to lush and found the answer! the smell of this is fairly nice but does work wonders on your hair. i put the product on the wrap my head in cling film and leave it for any amount of time, once ive finished and dryed my hair it really is LUSH!!!

Used this for the first time last night. It states to use 'plenty' but just a few very small scoops was plenty for my chin length, quite thick hair.rnrnDampened my hair the tiniest bit to get it to go through more easily, and used an old hairbrush to distribute it evenly. Left for around 40 minutes, and it made my hair beautifully soft, shiny and silky. It definitely brings out my brassy blonde hair. Used ultimate shine and american cream after to maximise the effect.rnrnBargain, try it!

This felt a bit runny when I applied it. I wrapped my hair with cling film and left it for a few hours whilst I revised for an exam. I washed my hair with Daddyo shampoo and then applied American Cream conditioner and had the most smooth, light reflective hair I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this combination for hair that looks and smells beautiful!

i wrapped my hair in marylin, followed by cling film & sat by the fire with "jules et jim". after i rinsed/dried my hair i was left with velvety, zesty locks ♥. no severe lightening effects have come about as of yet, but usually that present from lush arrives three washes later. a favourite!rn

I'm impressed with this. Just used it for the first time on reccomendation from a friend. I have naturally honey blonde hair with highlights and it was just starting to look a bit dull. So I slapped this all over my hair before chilling in the bath with a book. Afterwards I washed my hair and have just dried it and WOW - the blonde is back. Yes it smells herbal, it would it's cammomile based, but I can live with that as the lemon tames it a bit. My hair is soft and blonde. Nice one Lush.

I have knocked a star off because the smell reminds me of carpet cleaner, and it doesnt wear off no matter what i spray on my hair afterwards, however this is absolutely lovely stuff, my hair feels soft, bouncy and shiny, i have tried allsorts of treatments and this also soothes my scalp, if only the scent was different, fab product

Wasn't too keen on the smell,reminded me a little of those brown herbal sweets for colds?!rnBUT..this little pot is a lifesaver!rnI slapped a big handful onto my poor dry hair & wrapped in clingfilm for 20 minutes,much to husbands amusement..and my hair was gorgeous! The combination is luxury and the pot is lovely, you really want to put your fingers to this smooth good smelling stuff. But the result, the main thing (with Blonde and American Cream) not at all so good as expected. My hair looked flat and energy lost after those three treatments.

My hair has been in a colour war. It's only recently that I've restored my hair to it's natural blonde colour. Marilyn is a miracle worker. Seriously, the condition of my poor poor hair has improved a tonne... my hair is beautiful, healthy and shiny (and has definitely lightened), my white-blonde pieces are brighter than ever. Also I sometimes leave this product in my hair when wet and blow-dry for that "I just got out of bed" look. Brilliant product!!!

This stuff is great. I have long, highlighted hair and it makes it so soft and shiny. I wrap my head in clingfilm to keep mess down and stop it drying out, and leave it for an hour. When I first used it my boyfriend raved about how shiny my hair was, and how much lighter it looked. I think some of that was down to the incredible shine. I love using Marilyn and would definately recommend this over anything else I've ever tried along with the blonde shampoo. Definately one for date night.

Well the saying goes blondes have more fun and with this product thats certainly true now! Its smells divine, conditions beautifully and leaves my hair glossy shiny and more of an evenly toned blonde. The longer its left on the more of an intense result you'll get. Marilyn would be very proud Lush =] x

I use Marilyn as a leave-in conditioner on my damp, post-shower hair. I rub a bit in my palms and then run my fingers through my hair and repeat a few times. It leaves my wavy hair very soft, bouncy and shiny and the little tub lasts forever this way! I love it!

This stuff is great for blondes espesh those who are peroxide blondes. Not sure if it made my hair lighter but it did make it soft and shiney after. I used this with the blonde shampoo however, ill prob be giving these to a mate cause i have dyed my hair pink and this stuff would make it fade quicker.

I love Marilyn SO much!! A pot lasts me about 4 maybe 5 goes (got medium length hair) and I use it once every week or two. I usually leave it in for about an hour (it goes a bit hard as it dries) or even over night. My hair is left SO silky-soft and tangle-free once I've washed it out. LOVE it!! I use it with Blonde shampoo and Veganese conditioner. Not sure if it's actually lightened my hair much (am naturally blonde) but who cares? I've also given it as a b-day pressie to other blonde friends.

Best hair product I've come across.rnI use the marilyn once a week & leave it on for 20 minutes. I have long, thick hair so I pile on a lot & so far one tub has lasted me about a month. I've never had hair so perfect, even when I leave it unbrushed.rnAs for the colour, it definately got rid of the yellowyness from home dyes & evened out my roots with my previously dyed ends. Now my hair seems almost all one colour & many people have asked if I've dyed it again.rnNEVER stop making this product.

The first time I used this I left it on for about 10 minutes, and I was completely underwhelmed with the result. But I decided to give it another try, and im so glad I did! Used this for the 1st time this evening, covered my hair with it then got in the bath for a soak before washing it off.....it tamed, and brought out more blonde in my thick, highlighted hair! I will definately be buying more!

This is lovely - the smell is nice and lemony and goes great with Veganese conditioner. It makes my hair so soft and manageable and both my natural and not-so-natural highlights look so much better after a few uses. Thanks lush :)

Was advised by Jo at MK branch that this would be a good choice for my hair. She was not wrong, broght out the highlights amazingly! my daughter loves it to cos it makes her mousey brown hair golden, and that sooooo important to a 6 year old!

I used this at my friends house as we are both natural blondes! I felt my hair lacked the vibrant blonde look, so I I decided to give the Marilyn a go! You put it on dry hair and it made my hair feel really sticky and dry at first, but when I washed it out, it felt sooooooooo soft! Then, after letting it air dry, the following day my hair looked shiny, silky and friends commented how blonde it looked! Love this stuff! Am definitely adding to my wishlist!

lovely :) i've only used it twice so far, so haven't seen any results with making my hair brighter, but even if it doesn't i'll be happy - it's left my hair so light and bouncy and incredibly soft and shiny :) i've caked my hair in it, then wrapped my hair in clingfilm for about an hour and it's just so soft, i didnt think it would do that! it is quite runny, but i think that's a good thing as it means you can rinse it out easily without getting lots of residue :) 5 stars :)

I LOVE this hair treatment!!I feel so pampered and beautiful after using it; my hair feels brilliantly soft, shiny and so glossy. I also adore the smell, it's very subtle and smells lovely and fresh on my hair. I think it lasts a fair while as I have used mine 3 times and I still have about half the pot left and I don't skimp out when using it (my hair comes down to a couple of inches below my shoulders).It really sorts out split ends and makes your hair feel bouncy, silky, blonde and fantastic!

I have dry, frizzy hair that seems to go out of its way to annoy me! Too scared to dye my hair a more interesting shade, but wanting to give my hair a little push in making its mind up between brown and blonde, I tried Marilyn. I noticed a subtle but much-appreciated difference in blondeness! Not mad about the smell and it didn't do much for my frizz, but will not mark it down for that because it does exactly what it says on the tub - makes blonde hair lighter and shine! Wonderful :)

I didn't leave it on for 20mins as i didn't have 20mins, instead it was on for about 10, and my hair is so soft, smells greats and after rinsing with Daddy-o shampoo and AMerican Cream conditioner it looks great too, really easy to manage and for the first time in a long time it's glossy!!!! Great product Lush another one to add to my regime xxx

I love Marilyn. Putting it on for ages and ages before washing my hair makes it feel so much smoother and more moisturised, particularly when my (naturally dry-ish) hair is being wrecked and split by the freeze outside! I didn't notice it improving much more blonde, but it definitely improved moisture and shine.. and the smell makes it worth the price tag. I LOVE this product.

I highly recommend this product, for people who want to go slightly lighter as it does work! Although as I have the time I tend to leave it on for a hour or two and it leaves my hair in great condition, and gets lighter after everytime I use it, plus the tub has lasted me a long time!

I've got dark blonde hair and this works lovely at giving it a bit of life. i left it on for quite a while and it felt nice and soft and kept it that way without making it greasy. would recommend to anyone with any type of hair, but particularly the blondes out there!

The 1st time I used it it made my hair the softest it's been since the day I was born.. honestly! rnrnI thought I would put it on and go out in the sunshine (only as far as my back garden mind you!!) for a double whammy of sun and Marilyn.. I lasted 1 minute as I got chased by a wasp! It was honestly obsessed at getting at my hair, and as I run into the house it chased me in! This proves to me it is packed with natural goodness as the wasp shunned all my flowers and went straight for my head!!rn

As a guy with naturally blonde hair, this works pretty well, although it's hard to tell if the hair's blonder or just more shiny. After I use it, my hair seems to have a bit of a platinum shine to it for a couple of days which is really nice. A little expensive, but depending on the length and thickness of your hair this will last you up to 6 or 7 treatments.

I have naturally blonde hair and have tried all sorts of different ‘blonde shampoos’ to keep it looking blonde, but even the best makes my hair look dull after just a few washes because of build up, even if you alternate with different shampoos. Marilyn pre-hair treatment gets rid of all the build up and leaves it looking blonde and soft. Marilyn beats everything else I’ve tried, I was really surprised with how well it works!

I have dyed very blonde hair and Marilyn is great for making your hair feel soft and lush. I always get paranoid that becauseI have treated hair it looks dry and damaged but this makes me feel so confident that my hair is in good condition. It really does lighten the hair as well. Use the blonde shampoo afterwards and its even better!!!

where do i start??i have natural blonde hair so you can sometimes see the darker underneath bits through my hair which i hate, my hair is scruffy with odd curls and waves popping up everywhere but marilyn has totally changed that!all of my hair seemed lighter (even the underneath bits!) which was excactly what i wanted and my hair is no longer scruffy but sleek and shiny with neat curls!!the only downside is that its quite pricy so i can't afford to use it all the time, maybe lush could create a slightly cheaper option for us students? =]overall, an amazing product which i have got pretty much every female at uni using!!

I really love this, only problem is that it's too expensive to get reguarly on a student budget! I have a pot which I use occasionally - I'll put it on if I'm going out for a meal or to a ball or something special. It doesn't make me blonder, I don't think although it does give my natural colour an amazing shine- although it does make my hair feel really really soft and I feel amazingly pampered. I also love the smell.

This stuff is gorgeous, smells really good and kinda reminds me of custard! I didn't notice a difference to my hair colour but i have highlights so am quite blonde anyway. My hair was definitely softerafter use andsmelt lovely. I also noticed that it gave my naturally wavey hairmoredefined, tighter waves and less frizz.I got a few treatmentsout of the one potand feelit's a reasonable price.My advice is to apply and take a look bath, it soaks in really nicely. Received a small sample pot from lush. I have shoulder length highlighted hair and only used about half of the pot given. Applied to dry hair, left on for 20 mins, rinsed off then shampooed with the blonde and then jungle conditioner. WOW!! Hair is definately a nicer colour with golden tones, really soft, shinyand manageable. Thank You Lush, a must have product!!

But it does make your hair extremly soft and lovely!I normally wet my hair, put it on for 20 minutes, then wash it off and shampoo and condition as normal.It does have an odd smell though!

Love the stuff, makes my hair nice and soft. Don't notice any change in colour but my hair's golden blonde and perhaps it's just too subtle for me.I just wish it was available in larger quantities as my hair is waist length so 1 tub will only give me 1 1/2 or 2 applications if i'm lucky. But i still love the stuff!

This product smelled lovely and really made my hair soft and shiny and may have lightened it a little but not so much to notice. The only disadvantage of this product is i'verecently dyed my hair dark brown so had to give the tub to a friend to finish off but she loved it too

I really wouldn't recommend this for anyone that has dyed their hair and is going to use Marilyn to try and lighten it. I dyed my hair blonde and wanted it lighter, i know that it works gradually, so you have to use it a few times before you notice a change but i really didn't. My hair didn't appear any lighter, the only positive thing about it is it made my hair feel softer. I think this is more for the people that have natural blonde hair.

I really like Marilyn as a once a week treat on my hair (any more than that and the pot disappears way too quickly!) I don't love it quite as much as American Cream but it is a close second!! Leaving it on overnight means that in the morning after a quick shower my hair looks and feels great!

I found it worked very very well on my dark blonde hair before shampooing with The Blonde. It smells rather odd though! It left my wavy hair shiny, lighter, moisturized, and gorgeous!!!!Please never get rid of this, Lush!

I've always been obsessed with my hair. When I first arrived the UK to study I found the weather terribly harsh and this eventually took a disastrous toll on my once healthy hair. I was pretty depressed as nothing really worked for my hair to revive it to what it used to be. Discovered Lush, went crazy over it.. read reviews and decided to give Marilyn a go. Tried it yesterday and already I've used 1/3 of the entire tub!! (I've got really long hair) Left it on for about 3 hours before shampooing and topping it off with conditioner and it made my hair absolutely gorgeous! So soft and shiny! Smells amazing too! I can safely say it looks better now than what it used to before!!.. Couldn't keep my hands off my hair(therefore I could hardly get any work done).. Lush.. I now worship you!!

used this yesturday ,put it on after the shampoo left it on for 10mins then rinsed it of ,made my hair really glossey bouncey and put golden tones into it,smelled of fresh flowers allday smells better on than in the pot as i find with a lot of lush products

Marilyn smells and feels gorgeous and although doesn't change hair colour it does make blond hair shinier and stronger. Excellent as a treat especially for those of us who abuse our hair with too much bleach!

Doesnt do much for a colour change.. but its a really great conditioner, i only really managed to use it once, there was only about a third of it left after that so i mixed a small bottle of american cream with it and that worked good too ^_^ i left it on all night both times and my hair was amazing in the morning. i would only really use this like the night before an important date or something, because its too expensive to use as a weekly thing for me

This hair moisturiser smells go lovely and fresh, usually having to wear something in your hair for 20 mins is a chore, but this is an aromatic treat. When you wash it out your hair feels feather soft, and of course the lightening effect is very handy too.

I am a natural blonde and at winter my hair tends to darken, but this really helps to keep my hair nice and blonde and lovely. It smells nice and lemony and makes my hair so soft and shiny, and it's not too expensive. I got given a sample and have bought it every time I go to Lush since then. (Brilliant with the Blonde shampoo)

i actually first tried this at my friends house, she put some on my hair and the natural blonder highlights in my hair were brought out lots. i couldn't resist buying my own! i use it every once in a while and it makes my hair a little lighter, along with the daddy-o shampoo. it also brought out my mum's natural light areas in her dark brown hair. this is definitely recommended to those who want to enhance their hair with some shiny, blonder areas.

Wow! This is truly the best conditioner I have ever used. My hair is naturally dark and although it hasn't been lightened, the conditioner leaves it super soft and shiny. I straighten my poor hair lots so this really helps put some life back into it. I leave it in as long as possible - usually overnight for maximum impact.A definite must have Lush product!

I must totally agree with GinaOB's review, This product is amazing I have bottle blonde hair and with the ammount of chemicals I use on my hair to straighten it E.T.C my poor hair gets put through hell. This product treats my hair and brings it back to life with no problems what so ever. I normally leave this on for atleast half an hour and I use it along side The Blonde shampoo and retread conditioner.

This is a bathroom cabinet staple product!I get about 3 or 4 treatments out of each pot because I really slather LOADS of it on so that my hair is completely covered in it. I leave it on for ages & use it with Flying Fox and American Cream, not too much so that I don't overload my hair, and itmakes my hairsupersoft!It really brings out the shine in blonde hair & is a definate must!

I love lush products and this one I was told to buy by a friend as she found it so good for her hair. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. So I bought some and oh it is amazing what it does to my hair! I leave it in for as long as possible and after I have washed it out it is so soft and smells great! Its like its not my hair! I love this stuff. I've got medium brown hair, and wanted to see whether the camomile & lemon recipe would make it any lighter. After a couple of months of use it hasn't made much of a difference on the hair colour front, but has made a huge change in the condition of my hair.I generally leave it in for as long as possible, often overnight, and my hair is so smooth and conditioned after rinsing it out that I barely feel I need to shampoo it. My hair has never been so shiny, nor have I needed to use straighteners. And to top it off it smells of lemon bonbons :)
