I bought some of this in the Liverpool shop yesterday, it was recommended to me by one of the assistants as I asked her what I could use on my very long hair. I used it later on when I got home and my hair is so soft it's just amazing. I've used 'other' conditioners for years and this has to be the best :-)

The best thing about it is the smell! I can smell it all day and it's not too sweet for my taste. It also makes my hair very soft and easier to comb through.rnThe downside is that I need to use quite a lot for my thick long hair. The consistency is quite thin and doesn't seem to spread as well as my normal conditioner. But I'm going to make this my regular conditioner after I buy the big bottle, even though it's a little expensive.

I just bought this recently in the smallest size, and have to say I loveeeeeeeeee the smell. It's amazing. I have long hair that doesn't need much moisturising and as this is super moisturising I usually only use it on the ends of my hair. Looks like it's going to last ages

Don't think it smelled like strawberries (thankfully!) but used after Daddyo shampoo, it turned my short, peroxided white DESTROYED hair into spun silk! Seriously! My hair has NEVER felt & looked so amazing! This one is a keeper!

I have been a veteran American Cream fan for years. Makes my hair soft without residue, and leaves it smelling like a strawberry sundae. Ignore those Pantene adverts. Use this with Daddyo shampoo, and there won't be enough people to swish your hair at. Just make sure you ask first, or you might end up taking out an eye.....

Fantastic conditioner with a gorgeous smell! I alternate between this and veganese which I find a little lighter on my hair. American cream proves to be a little too heavy for regular use on thick hair but I wouldn't be without it.

Smells pleasant and the smell lingers on your hair for ages. The condition of my hair seems to have improved too. I'm happy with the conditioner and would buy again.

I do lots of swimming and out did myself at the weekend doing Tough Guy (google it) got covered in mud and hair was majorly WRECKED. rn Needing to re 'regirliefy' myself I popped into Lush and came out with this,rnI used it after circuit class today and the smell is just divine and hair is now restored to soft, smooth shinyness. rn Hours later it is still smelling amazing. So far, so very impressed. (Please adopt Welsh 'Nessa accent) I wouldn't lie to you now would I?

My everyday conditioner! I use it together with gentile lentil cause I have dyed hair and it works so great! The smell on the bottle is a little bit overwhelming but after you rinse, a light vanilla smell stick to your hair until the next day. My hair is goergeous and shiny! :)

I felt like buying this was a risk as I detest any strong vanilla scent. However, I found that using this conditioner after Daddy-O really left my hair smelling of violets and vanilla, which was a great combo! Even after straightening, the smell lasted, and hair had kept moisture. 4* as I was expecting it to smell like strawberries more and it didn't, Why not give it more strawberry scent, Mark? It would add a freshier feel to it + Customers would surely appreciate it! :)

First of all, let me confess that I am a big fan of the Rehab + Retread combo, because of my frequently dyed hair (and of The Strokes, thank you, Lush for binging it back), so I bought American Cream mostly for the smell, which is simply one of THE BEST Lush scents, together with Alkmaar (please, bring this one back too!). But American Cream really surprised me, because it really moisturizes the hair and makes it so shiny! I love it so much that i've just ordered the solid perfume too:)

I use this after 'The Blonde' and i get compliments almost everyday on how blonde my hair is going, and how nice it smells (thanks to American Dream) Don't need as much as other brands (therefore, lasts longer) and leaves hair soft and shiny (not meaning to sound like an advert!) Easy to brush your mane too! I'll save money on de-tangling spray, yey!

THIS IS THE BEST CONDITIONER I'VE EVER HAD! the smell is AMAZING, it's sweet but not sickening, and it last for ages! rnI used it after Ultimate Shine shampoo bar, and well, they did their job really great, my hair are super shiny and reeeeally soft! rnJust to notice: if you love your shampoo smell and you want it to last on your hair, this is not the conditioner for you as you won't be able to smell anything else that his amazing smell forever XD

At first I really didn't like this product and as many of other people have wrote here, I didn't feel like it did anything for my hair. But I kept using it and actually my hair became a lot shinier, more volumized and I also love the scent! I do think is it a bit to expensive and you need a lot, so it runs out pretty quickly - that's why I took of one star. I'll still buy the big bottle next time...

This really does not feel like its working in teh shower. Feels thin and not particularly moisturizing, but when you get out and your hair dries, you can tell that its done its job. Soft soft soft and sooo delicious smelling. The more I use this, the more it attacks my frizz, each time my hair looking smoother and happier. Use with Rehab and voila, instant frizz freeness!

Absolutely top marks for smell-stays with you all day but isn't over powering. Shame it doesn't actually make my hair feel very conditioned even when i slather it completely...=(

I loved the smell of this however it wasn't tough enough to combat my thick wavy hair, my boyfriend however really didn't mind cus it meant he got the leftovers and he thought it made his hair uber silky!

Mmmmm smells so good! I forget the smell in my hair is this conditioner and not perfume- smells so fragrant and grown up. Not a sickly sweet smell, more of a musky vaguely vanillar-y scent, reminds me of ice cream but I think that's simply because of its name!

I think this product smells divine. It does condition my hair, but not enough. Maybe this is not the right product for me but may be suitable for you guys. But I still love this!!

This is a really fab no nonsense conditioner. I love it! I wasnt too struck on the smell at first, but its really grown on me, which is fortunate because it lingers!!! I'll def be using this again, along with my absoute fave, Jungle

I suggest asking (nicely!) for a sample. I bought a small bottle to try, and it's completely useless. Nearly £4 down the drain, this stuff is _expensive_. I have fine, long hair which is very dry and in bad condition at the ends, I slathered this on and it did nothing at all. My hair looked worse than it has for years, all straw-like and birds-nest-tangled at the end, although admittedly, the smell was very nice!

Having an allergy to Lanolin i can only use this conditioner on the ends of my long hair., but it does leave it soft and conditioned. I am rather addicted to the smell, although it doesn't really smell of strawberries, it's more a chemical smell.

Yes it also got me! I looovvveee this one. I have greasy hair and have to be careful with codioner but this one is awsome and just leaves my hair soft and good smelling. You dont need much. rnMy kitty is always sleeping next to me and when i wake up in the morning she smells like american cream. So cool^^!

Smells utterly devine, just wish it was a little more moisturising, find it hard to get a comb through once applied. But i still continue to buy, cus i just love the scent so much. I use another conditioner to detangle and this purley for the gorgeous smell which lingers all day mmmmmm

One of my favourite Lush products. No matter what I try, whatever the hairdresser recommends, however expensive it is, I always come back to American Cream. The smell is so lovely, it lasts for ages. It makes my hair so silky soft without weighing it down. I dye my hair alot and the ends are dry split alot of the time. I leave this on for a couple of minutes and it soon smoothes it down. Worth every penny.

This is an amazing softening conditioner for your hair, and will make it smell just like the American Cream Perfume, but when you look at ur hair once its dried there is so much dandruff it's very disappointing.Sorry Lush. x

American Cream left my hair wonderfully soft and smelling of a deep vanilla-floral cocktail, which is far too beautiful to justify in description. I haven't come across anyone who doesn't love the smell, and I often have friends and family sticking their noses in my hair! My boyfriend tells me I have to buy 2 bottles next time - one for me and one for him!

WOW. The smell is AMAZING, like a vanilla milk shake with a hint of fruit that makes it quite sexy, and not too sweet. I have normal, thick hair and American Cream makes it look gorgeous, shiny and soft, and smelling so good that I'm getting the solid perfume! I was afraid that it would be too rich for my hair, but it isn't, it works absolutely great. One of my favorite Lush products.

This stuff smells great and leave my hair so soft! I've even got my hubby using it on his mad rockstar style hair :-) we've been using it together for about 3 years! we're a proper lush family now, even our little boy loves his "fizz," in the bath :-)

smells gorgeous - using with Rehab and it works. had to get used to how much to use so used to loading my hair with conditioner - with this u can't tell whether anything is going into your hair but you can still see the effects after you've washed it out. amazing!!!

This smells beautiful, but doesn't do much for my hair I'm afraid. I have fine hair that has become occasionally frizzy since I've started dying it, but this product does nothing to help that whatsoever. Sorry Lush =[

I really wanted to like this product seen as tho everyone says how nice it smells, but :/ when i got it in the post it smelt sooo horrible and to me it smelt NOTHING like vanilla :/ and its not that great on your hair either. sorry but worst LUSH product me thinkss.

Yummy! Not only made my hair smell delicious but also kept it shiny, detangled and kept my ends nice and soft as well. A fantastic all rounder. Kept my hair nice and fluffy, without being frizzy and didn't weigh it down. A complete 10/10!

I was really disappointed with this product. My hair needs conditioner so it doesn't go tangly but doesn't need conditioner to make it smooth and in better condition so even cheap own brand supermarket stuff does the job but thinking it probably isn't very good for my hair I wanted to try a Lush conditioner. This left my hair dry and frizzy which it never is. It feels horrible. One star cause it does smell divine.

I was quite disappointed with this :( It smells good but definitely isn't my favourite Lush scent & as a conditioner it fell far short of my regular brand. My hair was still tangled afterwards and after regular use my scalp became itchy/flaky. As soon as I switched back to my regular conditioner my hair felt much healthier. What a shame!

"phwah" what i said as i smelt the wonderful smell of this product. it made my Psoriasis happy and conditioned my short curly hair to perfection. i used it with rehab because of my scalp condition and it works wonders for me.

The smell alone would grant me to rate this product the whole 5 stars! It's a beautifully fruity, candy kind of mix. My hair is prone to dry ends, lacks shine due to it's white blonde colour, and is naturally wavy. Initially, i didn't think it was spreading too well as it's not thick like any conditioners i'm used to, but it's done the trick! My hair is so so soft, feels really well conditioned and oddly enough, SHINY! Which i never thought possible with the colour of my hair.

I love and adore this conditioner i use it with the New Shampoo bar and the too go well together i think as this too me smells kinda sweet and spicy and the new bar is cinnamon ^_^ i have waist length hair and really curly it conditions really well and i only use it on the ends :)

yep this is soooo amazing once i tried it on i smelled the scent surely it says vanilla on the label but it does smell a little vanillary. well actually i smelled the conditioner and it smelled like root beer it does actually well lucky me! not realli! :)

Although I love the smell of this product, I found that no matter how much conditioner I used, it was never enough to condition my hair properly. On the upside it did make my high nice and bright, but seemed to make my hair more tangled and brittle than usual. I'm afraid this isn't the conditioner for me as it doesn't seem to suit my type of hair.

Definately the most amazing conditioner I have ever used! I can't get enough of it. My mum started buying from lush and after bringing home a small bottle of this suggested I try it. Now I swear by it. My hair goes through a lot (dying, styling, washing etc) all the while and this is the perfect hair rescue. It keeps my hair really moisturised and soft and helps with split ends etc. Plus it smells amazing! I can smell it throughout the day and I love it! Definately 5*!

I fell in loooove with this conditioner. The smell is so gorgeous, and it lingers in your hair for the rest of the day. You don't have to use a lot for it to be affective, and it's great to use as a leave in treatment too. I just put a dime size amount in my hands, rub them together, and then apply to the ends of my hair. When it dries it's shiny, soft, and smells BEAUTIFUL. Love love love this conditioner. A must have in my hair cair regimen.

At first, I thought this product was a bit of a disaster. It smelt a bit weird in the bottle, it didn't seem to condition my hair when I put it on, and then when I got out the shower, my hair seemed a bit dry and brittle. However, once I started to dry my hair, the smell hit me. It was absolutely gorgeous! And I found that once dry, my hair was soft and shiny, but not that 'is it soft, or just greasy?' thing that I got with my old shampoo. Absolutely love it, goes really well with 'Big' shampoo!

doesn't smell one bit like strawberries, but gorgeous vanilla fragrance. conditions pretty average, not enough for my dry ends. But the smell is so great and lingers that it's totally worth it once or twice a week, with an occasional hair mask.

I have very long hair so am used to using a ton of conditioner. When I used this in the shower I couldn't feel it working. but after I dried my hair, I noticed it was soft and shiny. Very surprising. Plus it smells amazing.

I have thick and unruly hair that never seems to untangle unless I use expensive, thick salon conditioners. So I wasn't necessarily surprised when this conditioner left my hair unmanageable. I continued to use it for well over a week to see if there was any change, but my hair refused to comb out. I am, however, in love with the scent, so I continue to use a little bit before I get out of the shower just to make my hair smell sweet.

Smells a bit weird in the pot in my opinion, but once it was on my hair it smelt lovely! Can't quite describe it. A bit like a thick vanilla milkshake. It's pretty expensive in my opinion, especially as I use Big shampoo which smells lovely and makes my hair amazingly soft, so I don't really need conditioner. However, this feels very creamy and luxurious on your fingers, massages in lovely and does leave your hair very soft.

My hair can be really dry and fluffy, and I'm used to using a lot of heavy, gloopy conditioners. American Cream feels a lot lighter than those, and does better with my wild hair than most of the heavy-duty stuff. And smells so much better.

didnt notice much after using it quickly in the shower, so this time after shampooing i towel dried my hair a little and then worked the American Cream through before tying my hair and leaving for 15 minutes. After rinsing it was lovely, silky and shiny. Had to use quite a bit but the smell is really nice.

bought this along with cyntghia sylvia stout shampoo and the combination really suits my "colour assisted" hair, don't need a lot and it leaves my hair soft and shiny and smelling divine - as other reviewers have said people ask what perfume i have on!

This has a wonderful smell of strawberry and vanilla and makes hair super shiney! But on my dry hair, it didn't feel very nice and it was hard to spread throughout my hair....great for shine, but didn't really do anything else for me.

This is a very light conditioner that will leave your hair smelling delicately of strawberry milkshake. It does leave hair soft but not quite as good at detangling as conventional conditioners which is why it only gets 4 stars from me. Use with Daddy-o shampoo to get a delicious combination scent and soft shiny hair. Best for fine hair that is usually left flat with heavier conditioners.

This is amazing! The scent on my hair after I dried it was awesome, sooo nice. I keep getting a smell of it every so often and it smells so good :) rnThis has left my hair sooo smooth and shiny, i would recommend it to anybody!!

It smells amazing, but I find I have to use quite a lot of conditioner to detect the scent on me. It doesn't do much as a conditioner though, my hair just feels a little softer, but not much besides that.

Great conditioner, not too thick or too light. I was afraid to put it near my crown, usually if I do this it leaves it really greasy but this was fine. Left my hair really volumised. Not sure on the scent, its nice and very strong so lingers, im just not keen for some reason. I used it with jumping juiper solid shampoo, and this combo is great for me. 4 stars because it is sooo expensive, had to buy the little 100ml bottle although I have got 5 washes out of it and only just at the top of label.

Mmmmmmm this smells soo yummy. People keep smelling my hair :) You have to use a good amount for it to really condition your hair though.

Smells amazing, everyone asked what perfume i was wearing if i gave them a hug, and i was like, i'm not wearing any, its my conditioner hehe =]. it made my hair shiney and soft but harder to detangle than some other conditioners i've used.

I bought this in the shop in Cardiff as it actually looked really nice to use for my hair which is usually prone to frizz due to it being thick and curly. I have to say that using this after colouring my hair with henna was amazing. It left the best condition and shine on my hair. Will definitely be buying more of this!

went back to the merry hill store and asked for a conditioner that i could use once a week as a treat or special nights out as an extra conditiong boost, and got this one its smells divine and it takes away the smell of the soak and float (not that that bothers me) thanks for making my hair smell lushious x

Smells amazing, vanilla with an extra touch of yumminess! Makes my hair and my flat smell absolutely divine. Only downside is I need to use a lot of it on my think hair to make it soft and shiny.

The smell is great and it really lasts until the next wash (sometimes you even WANT it to go if it doesn't match your perfume:) and it does its job well.. Sometimes I rub it in my hair and leave for a good few hours. This way, you get extra moisturizing and no frizz...

Amazing conditioner!! I used this with Seanik solid shampoo bar and was amazed. It was not greasy at all, and was easy to wash out, could feel the effects stragiht away. Loads of compliments on the condition or my hair and its gorgeous smell which lasts a couple of days.

Argh, this is the first low rating I've given! I really wanted to love this product as I really love the smell, however it seemed to make my hair a combination of lank and fly away :S. I've used a whole little bottle despite not getting on with it and I've always had similar problems - it either conditions too much or not enough. I gave it a two for the smell though. And because I love the scent so much, I bought the solid fragrance :D

The smell of this product is just lovely! I think it's quite expensive but worth it as I get compliments about my hair all the time! It makes my dry, frizzy hair shiny and soft! I would recommend combing your hair through after putting this on though as like most of the lush hair products it does tend to make my hair tangle! Overall a fabulous product.

When I bought this it smelt gorgeous! But now after a while the smell is so overpowering :( it has a strange smell to it but it does make your hair SOFTTTT!! i have thin hair so its great on it :) I can over look the pongyness of it for nice shiney hair :D

I have really dry hair and did use normal shop brought conditioner until I stumbled on this. Very pricey but well worth it. It left my hair smelling gorgeous for days after and the softness was unreal. Make sure you brush it through after applying for an even softness. A wonderful product.

I've been using American Cream for years & still love it! I do use a big blob & let it sink in a bit before combing it through. Using it with Curly Wurly shampoo has really sorted my over heated hair a treat!

Smells absolutely gorgeous but i'm afraid to say it done nothing for my long dry locks. Had to use alot to cover my hair and it was still dry after leaving it on for a few minutes. Such a shame as i love the smell! x

2 stars, both of which are for smell. Double strength? I don't have thick hair at all, but the ends are a bit dry from highlights so I thought this would be a nice treat for them. It's just not a strong conditioner, I would call it a very light consitioner, even in my fine hair you have to use an awful lot to feel like it has been conditioned at all. At the price it really is too much as I went through a bottle in about 1 week. Fantastic scent, but that's about it.

This smells devine and does a good job with the conditioning too! I think the scent is one of the most important things to me when I'm buying hair care. The only thing I found with this one, the scent stays with you all day and it makes me keep flicking my hair to catch a sniff! Lol - thats not a bad thing, but I remind me of shrek 2 when donkey turns into a stallion and keeps flicking his mane in slow motion!!

I always put perfume in my hair, because where your head is the hottest part of your body, it'll make what ever perfume you put in more obvious. But, this...American cream smells SO good and it's the first shampoo I've seen that makes the smell stay in your hair!! I smelt sooo good for ages...need more!

I bought this AGES ago, mainly cause if I bought it, I would be able to get a free face mask... Plus it smelt of heaven. But after using it as my conditioner, I was dissappointed. Nothing much had happened to my hair. This then went in the cupboard as something to use in emergencies. SO I bought jungle, but it lef the ends dry. I combined it with American cream on the ends, and hey presto. The ends of my hair are wonderful now, so yes. Sorry for going on and on. Buy this with jungle.God idea. =D

I got soo excited about this product, and got a nice big bottle, so it was slightly disappointing when I used it in the shower, and it didn't smell very much of strawberries (that was why I bought it: for the strawberries!) and it didn't feel like it was conditioning my hair very well. However, I know it did because the next morning when I woke up my hair was perfect!

This makes your hair unbelievably soft, i bought this a few years ago and loved it! For some unknown reason i stopped buying from lush but now i love it again! Deffinately going to get this soon when i have some spare money. And it smells gorgeous! x

This conditioner has changed my opinions on conditioners. Usually I think you can tell how well a conditioner is going to work when you put it on. I put this on and did not expect much, though it did smell absolutley georgeous. However, when I was drying my hair, it was incredibly easy to brush, no tats and when I had dried it, it was really soft. The conditioner worked brilliantly. Thanks Lush.

This smells divine! I thought it was far too strong and a bit cheap-smelling at first, but it quickly became addictive and now I sniff my hair all day long. It's made my hair soft, and it detangles well, but it doesn't do much in the way of shine.

I have fine but extremely curly hair and trying to find a conditioner that leaves my hair conditioned enough to stay in nice smooth curls without weighing it down and making it greasy is almost impossible. Not only does AC do that, it's left my hair feeling incredibly light, shinier than it's ever been and smelling amazing. It's even helping me to quit smoking because when my hair smells this good I really don't want it stinking of cigarette smoke.

I could even give more stars to that conditioner! Coolaulin smells great, an earthy and sweet scent but American Cream...Whooh! I understand why Lush did make a perfume with it. I really have the impression of having perfumed my hair, i got lots of compliments about it, and it perfectly softens my curly and rebel hair. The smell is so incredible!

I've used retread conditioner a couple of times and was quiet saticefied.rnHowever, I wanted a smaller bottle and a other scent.rnThis one smells lovely, and leaves your smelling like that for a whole day (including your pillow haha)rnBut...I have thick hair, and AC didn't made it easier to comb through..rnMy hair does feel soft, that's why it's given 4 stars, but if you don't want problems with combing, then pick retread instead.:)

Just awful! I've have really thick hair which is also dyed and bought this thinking it would make my hair a bit more softer/smoother after reading some of the comments.Not the case, there's cheaper conditioner on the high street thats left my hair in better condition. After a few hours I had to rewash it because the smell was too overpowering. The only reason it got 1 star is my mum happened to like the smell and though I was wearing a new perfume, thats how strong it was.

The smell of American Cream has to be my no.1 fragrance from lush, however this conditioner is far too heavy for my fine hair :(rn Lush, please please pleeeeeeeeeeease make a soap or shower gel with the same smell, I don't wanna have to live without it! x

One of my favourite Lush products. I use it after washing with Ultimate Shine bar & my hair looks super glossy & smells sooo gorgeous. Please don't ever stop making this one!!!

I'm 90% sold with this one. It smells gorgeous (not at first whiff but becomes addictive over time), it is a nice consistency and does leave hair feeling silken (not super sleek like after using commercial conditioners though as most of these leave yucky silicone residue which most of us are used to feeling but are actually bad for your hair)I have been mixing miine with a little jungle on the ends of my hair for a bit more moisturisation as otherwise I have lots of tangles. Overall I like this.

it gets one star as it left my hair smelling gorgeous but apart from that, i thought it was rubbish! my hair was just as dry frizzy & tangled as it was before, and i had trouble combing it through! when i rinsed it off and went to dry my hair i had to get out a bottle of conditioner i got from the supermarket and use that as AC had not left it in an acceptable condition. I used half the bottle thinking if i used more and left it for longer it would work, i was wrong.

For a girl with curly, thick hair like mine, this is heaven!!! No more frizz, a reeally beautiful and a smell my cat, Dolly, is as mad about as I am!!! Never stop making this!!!

The smell of this product is divine, all day long whenever i move my head i get mini waves of scented vanilla heaven. It isn't a deep conditioner i use a treatment for that but for day to day use its okay. The smell alone sells it for me =]

I had very high hopes for this as I adore the smell and was enticed by the 'double strength' promise. However I'm afraid that it's so runny I have to use absolutely loads to cover my long, quite thick hair- making it not very good value for money. It did make my hair quite soft and beautifully fragranced, but it didn't detangle it or moisturise it as deeply as I'd hoped.

A really lovely product. Smooth, gentle, creamy, feminine. Cannot complain.

My abused hair has multiple personalities. Near the roots it's greasy as hell, the ends are dry and frazzled and split and generally not very attractive. Tried Veganese - too light. Tried Retread - squished it flat. Tried American Cream - RESULT! Used with Ultimate Shine shampoo it gives a mirror-shine, smells great and has the right balance of lightness and moisturisation... WINNER!

Now this is more like it! After the disappointment of Coolaulin, AC is fab for my long, fine, dry hair. It makes it soft and strokeable, healthy-looking, bouncy and shiny. It smells nice without being overpowering. Unfortunately it's just too damn pricey at over £7 for the medium bottle. As far as bang-for-your-buck goes, the higher end of conditioners in Superdrug will do the same thing for less money (although without the nice smell!).

I'm a conditioner snob. I'm hair vain. I had heard of this for ages, but didn't try it until this March. Being a Lush fiend for the past 6 years, I now have no idea why I waited so long! It doesn't feel like it will be so intense and softening since it's not the thickest cream rinse I've used, but the results are faaaaabulous. And it smells like cupcakes and love. I just bought the solid perfume since I love it so much. It works magic on my long locks. I hope it never gets discontinued!

The best smelling conditioner I have ever used and I think I will ever use. If you like rub rub rub, daddy-o or Sakura then you will love this.

This conditioner is the best conditioner in the world; it's double strength so my hair feels the softest I have ever felt it. It's not only amazing as a conditioner either, I use it as a leave in conditioner if my hair feels a tad dry after a day or so (as my hair can get sometimes) I use it as a body lotion, as a light face moisturiser. It's amazing :)

OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS CONDITIONER!!!rnI have huge, curly, long and difficult hair which needs a huge dollop of conditioner to get it even a little bit manageable, and even then it usually breaks or just doesn't get it soft or clean enough.rnThis conditioner has changed everything!rnIt makes it feel really clean, shiny, soft, and under my control without leaving too much of a strong smell, or residue - AMAZING!

This is a very good conditioner. I have curly hair that gets dry if i dont use good quality products. This is one of the best conditioners i have ever tried and would encourage others to try this, i definately think it's worth the money :D great product

I love love love this!! The smell is gorgeous and you can smell it all day!! I have just finished the 100ml bottle and have bought the big bottle as it is the best conditioner i have ever used!! And believe me i have tried many! But none have came close to american dream i love the way my hair feels looks but most of all smells!! Well done lush this stuff is fab!!!!

I LOVE this product. My hair is fine and prone to breakage and can be dry so i thought id give this conditionr a try as iv tried loads of the thickening conditioners in other stores and they haven't done anything for me. When i got out the shower the room was hit by the strong smell which i love. My mum even said to me it was the best condition she had seen my hair for a long time and it looked thicker and had a brilliant bounce to it.If you haven't tried this i suggest you do as its brilliant!

This is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!it did wonders for my hair. It made my hair extremely light, fluffy, bouncy and also made my hair smell AMAZING.i can't belive its only 4 stars it deserves a MILLION.I used it with ultimate shine solid shampoo and everyone i passed compliemented on how nice my hair looked.When i lost the bottle i was devestated and my hair did not feel the same.I am going to buy the huge pot next time because for quality like that i don't care what the price is!i thoroughly recommend.

Five stars if for no other reason than the lovely earthy vanilla scent. It is much heavier than Veganese, so depending upon how long my hair is it is some times a bit to heavy for my hair. I just combo it with veganese or dilute it a bit in my hand, though, and I'm good. Yum.

I always get compliments on how nice my hair smells when i use this, plus people can't seem to get their hands of my hair!My hair used to be really dry before using this, i absolutely love this product! Try it with rehab and you'll have lovely, soft hair. This is the first ever Lush conditioner i've used though, i want to try coolaulin next with curly wurly. I recommend this to people with dry har. Don't use it if you already have fine or greasy hair, it won't do you any favours! xxxxxx

American Cream is definitely my FAVOURITE lush product, first because when iI use Rehab shampoo (which makes my hair a spot frizzy) it smooths it out nicely. Second because it is the sexiest thing I have ever smelled the blend of vanilla, strawberry and honey is just genius. :):):):):). 5 stars 5 smileys.

I loooooove this conditioner! It smells so lush!! My hair is so lovingly smooth with it; when I ran out a while ago, I thought I could do without, but how very much I missed it, that I HAD to go out and buy another bottle...

I bought myself the smallest bottle as it is my first time trying this LUSH conditioner. It smells divine and made my hair soooooo soft! However, I lost 1 star because the smell never lasted on my hair. Oncr I rinced it out, the smell went with it.rn:(

Love the consistency of this. The smell out of the bottle is lovely, and it leaves my hair shiny and soft. However, the 'after smell' it leaves on my hair (which is quite persistent) is very sickly. I like lavender, but perhaps a little less of it in here would make for a more sweet-not-sickly conditioner.

this stuff smells divine! went on holiday and forgot to pack it :( used another conditioner there but when i got out of the shower you could still smell american cream! this lasted for about 3 days, wow. now im back home and have it again yay! whenever my parents or friends give me a hug they always comment on how great my hair smells :) BUY THIS NOW!

Got this in Lush Legends Box, first time I used it I did not realise how little I needed to use and my hair looked greesy, but have perfected it now a tiny bit and only on the ends and my hair looks amazing.

Nice smell, good feel, handy as a regular use conditioner. Worked well on my dry hair and feels lovely.

Initially wasn't keen on this product and resisted for as long as I could, but it's amazing! I'm not too fussed on the smell but it's a fantastic conditioner. I actually think I prefer it to Veganese...

The smell is to die for! I love the texture and although some conditioners leave my hair oily this one didn't. I didn't find it removes my tangles as good as others but the smell and softness of my hair lets it off! Will be using this for a long time!

This one smells delicious and it made my hair really soft! The only downside is that my hair gets greasy a bit faster with this one but since I already wash my hair everyday (with an exception) that's not a problem.

used this for the first time this morning. smells ace in the bottle, smells slightly less yummy on hair. was really disappointed when i first put it in my hair as it felt really thin and didn't feel like it was conditioning at all. when i washed it out of my hair it felt a bit dry, but my brush flew through it when i brushed it through and then when i dried it, it was fab, really smooth and shiny. my hair seems longer and less frizzy - and does smell fab when i move my head! defo buy again!

The smell is lovely, however for my really damaged and dry hair it doesnt work as well as I want it to.. but I'll keep using it for the smell Mmmh.. or get the solid perfume:P

I love the smell of this. I thought the consistancy would too runny for it be very conditioning, but I was wrong! I have long hair that gets quite dry at the ends but this left it feeling and looking lovely from root to tip.

Oh my god! This is definitely one of my favourites! It smells sooooooooo very very very nice! Especially when you use it together with the American Cream solid perfume! You can smell it all day long and your hair gets really really soft and smooth!

They should be highly congratulated for this because I have what is probably the most untamable, frizzy hair about and, honestly, this made it really lovely (a rare occurrance!). I am in love.rnI have very very fine hair and lots of it, it often looks dull and greasy (though I think that is also down to having a rather dull shade of mousey brown). American Cream has really saved it.rnrnIt's shiney, it smells so good I'd be constantly running my hair under my nose if it was long enough and it feels great.rnrnI'm definitely using this for now on.

The smell of it is ok but not my favourite. The conditioner isn't strong enough for my hair, I need a more moisturising one.

Bizarrely, I have very fine, greasy hair, & this made NO difference WHATSOEVER to it, despite being alledgedly 'double strength'. I tried leaving it in & applying twice- no change. And that apparently gorgeous smell was nowhere to be found. Vanilla, strawberries & lavender? Not to my nose- smelt like a sickly, slightly herby mishmash, with a sharp chemical undertone. Mine also went blue at the bottom. Maybe I had a duff bottle, but it was well within its BB date. Veganese is infinitely superior.

This conditioner is fabulous, it has a really yummy smell which lasts in your hair all day after washing. It's very moisturising so I just apply to the ends to keep my hair soft & bouncy. A classic product that you need to have in your bathroom, and the big bottles last forever!

I have found that every lush product that I have used has been very good. Having read the reviews of this product I was tempted to try it. The smell that everyone raves about just didn't last. As a conditioner it didn't manage to leave my hair as tangle free as others. I also found that a small bottle just doesn't last very long. I'll be honest, a cheap bottle of conditioner from the supermarket had better results.

I was given a big bottle of this as a birthday present. Because I've been using 'Jungle' for quite a while, I wasn't sure about this, but the absolutely *gorgeous* smell tempted me. It makes my hair beautiful and soft, the comb glides through it easily after washing and the scent stays on my hair all day! Because it is quite expensive I think I will save it for a treat, but it's really lovely!

When I first tried it, I didn't think it would be that great since it doesn't come out as thick as some other well-known brands. I have wavy/a little coarse/a little dry hair and I am TELLING YOU: When I use this conditioner, I have the kind of hair that is like, straight, shiny, smooth, think - you know, the kind of hair that you see on some girls where it is so silky and thick that it kind of falls out of a hair rubber band. This is the best conditioner I have ever, ever used.

My favourite of all the conditioners, I stock up on this at every visit. The smell is incredibly delicious and lingers enough for people within a close proximity to compliment the scent. Love it, thick enough to tame my bleached hair, recommended to all!

This product is lovely. The smell lingers in my hair for a couple of days and I cannot use anything else now! I have highlighted hair which can get quite dry on the ends and this conditioner leaves my hair looking really good without taking away volume.

Oh my God this product is lovely! I tried Veganese first which made my hear really shiney but the smell did not linger at all. I tried this one, had to get used to the smell but after sniffing it multiple times in the store I began to fall in love with it. Today I have this whole cloud of smooth soft smell around my head and my hear looks wonderfull. Wonder if it will be even better after using it for a longer time...thanks Lush, another great one for me!!!

I will never buy any other conditioner again! I straighten my hair every day so it was getting fairly damaged, but i began using this product and it is now always shiny, in great condition and smells fantastic.

Abolutely amazing, a life changing product. I use it with Curlywurly and my frizzy dry hair has never been better! Smells gorgeous too obviously, and I only need a little bit as it's quite rich.

I could tell this was going to work as soon as I ran it through my hair as it feels so good. I used it after I love Juicy and my hair is soft shiny and super healthy. I usually struggle to get a comb through my fine flyaway hair but I had not trouble this morning!rnAbsolutley lovely.

i thought this was going to leave my hair really soft but actually it made no difference to my normal conditioner. it didnt make my hair even smell nice - the scent was gone once washed out which i was really disapointed by as it smelt so nice in the bottle! i actually thought my hair was quite dry afterwards. very disapointed, especially considering the price!

i'm sad to say this didn't work on my hair AT ALL. I have big wild curly hair, and only ever get to brush my hair in the shower while i condition, and when i used American Cream i couldn't get my brush through. perhaps its good for straight hair but mine was left dry and very unconditions, an expensive waste i'm sad to say.

This leaves my hair so soft and smells lovely too, I even bought the solid perfume.

Hmm I don't know whether I have a rogue bottle of this stuff but it makes my hair smell like soup!! I will use it all up as its quite expensive, but the smell is enough to put me off ever buying it again. I can't see all that much difference to my hair than from any other less expensive conditioner. Not for me I'm afraid :.(

The smell of this makes me happy.. it smells so good that guys in a pub were sniffing my hair going 'mmmm' and normally just being in a pub would make my hair smell bad. but more than its gorgeous smell, my boyufriend commented on how nice my hair felt the other day after just 2 weeks of using it! will definately be buying this again!

I love this condtioner I cant explain why but my hair smells like a barbie doll seriously and It feels soft and tangle free it does work wonders but Im getting flash backs of my barbie doll when I was younger and no its not plastic Im thinking of. I would recommend it I am rather puzzled about the barbie doll thing but hey ho Im off to buy a pink car.

Smells really nice, and sticks to hair (from what i could tell) quite a bit. Made my hair feel normal, after the torment of Daddy-o, which i think is pretty good.

My favourite Lush product; as I'm a guy with short hair I can't particularly notice the extra shine, but my hair does feel nice, and I love the luxurious texture and gorgeous fragrance.

This really is the best conditioner ever, Forget ever using Pantene or Loreal again. This conditioner is a MIRACLE worker. Not only does it add shine and make hair feel soooo smooth but it really does strengthen it (In my opinion better than salon treatments) plus this seems to be the only conditioner that I've used to have the smell linger (In a good way)

I LOVE the smell of this, which is the reason why I bought it in the first place. At first I didn't think it did that much for my hair but kept using it for the smell anyway. However, I have noticed that my hair is a lot softer, shiner and generally healthier. Also a little goes a long way and combined with the shampoo bars its much better value for money than high street brands.

I have used this product for over a year, it really is faultless, smoothes onto your hair lightly and the scent binds instantly.rnThe best way to prolong the scent i find, is to leave it on whilst you wash your body, then remove, as you gain both extra conditioning softness and the lingering smell, i also purchased the solid perfume version and sneakily rub a lil in my hair if it needs that extra creamy oomph :P rnX

I totally enjoyed that Shimmy-Shimmy massage bar, so the smell was familliar ;-) It's texture is just-what-my-hair-needs! It's soft, moisturizing, leaves just a hint of vanilla, coconut and positivity! My hair hasn't become sticky, oily of greasy. I should've bought a bigger bottle :-(

This is by far the best conditioner I have ever used. It leaves my hair so soft and shiny and feeling in such good condition. I buy about 2 big bottles a year for my long hair and would definitely recommend it! It also smells absolutely divine :)

This is a really lovely conditioner, which smells amazing and leaves my hair really soft. (as long as you use the right amount - I used to use too much and didn't notice an effect, but I've found the balance now ^^) I had to go and get the solid perfume as well because it smelt so nice!
