loved the smell, but mine was more lemony than rosy. as a soap i thought it was a bit pants as i like lots of foam and bubbles. (reminded me of those fruitella sweets when i was a kid) BUT i saw a review on the site advising to use it as a shaving cream and it was fantastic, legs never been smoother and it might be in me head but the stubble stayed away for longer!

Smells nice and floral, good to use with Amandopondo.rnPS. I think Lush may have discontinued Heavenly Bodies before I could try it. AAARGH!

Its pink, it lathers a good amount and it smells absolutely delicious!rnIt does smell like roses I suppose, but, I'm not sure why, but it reminds me of lemon sorbet!rnabsolutely yummy.

This smells lovely and, what's more, it's pink!! The only down-side to this soap is that it's immensely reluctant to lather which is why I award it only with four stars. In the end, what I did with mine was to grate it and add boiling water (1 part soap to 3 parts water) stirring until it was completely dissolved. I left it to cool and, to my amazement it turned into a sort of jelly. In the shower I squished a piece of it between my hands and rubbed it on. It left my skin nice and soft!

Im in protest that this is not longer a butter cream however the girl in my local Lush shop told me its just the same as ever and it also last long but im not sure I do like the soap but it go on the body as well as the butter cream still an good proudct and one of my favorits.

I got a bar of this free in an in-store promotion and I've just used it in my bath and I love it My husband commented on how lovely and flowery my skin smelled. I don't understand the complaints about it not lathering. I rubbed it over wet skin and it didn't foam up, but once I then went over it with a loofah it sudsed right up. I would definitely recommend this soap, it left my skin soft and smelling lovely.

tried this about 5 yrs ago when it was squishy and in a tub and thought it was ok but hard to use. Now its solid i thought i'd give it another go. It smells lovely but the scent doesnt stay on your skin, and even using it with a shower puff thing, it doesnt lather very well at all. Having said that, my chunk of it doesnt seem to be getting any smaller with time which is good, as long as i'm not fed up with it before i finish it - wont be repurchasing.

I loved the smell of this product in the bar, yet it didnt lather as i expected it to , and i couldnt smell it on my skin as much as the other products do, but i would buy it just to smell in the bar , the girly floral scent cheers me up !!

this product did not lather at all and i also dint find it cleaning my body. it smells good but it does not leave my skin feeling fresh and soft or moisturised at all. it made me itchy on my back.rnrni hate this soap rnsorry lush

I tried using this as a body wash, as it suggests and hated it, as it left an oily residue on my skin, but rather than waste it by throwing it away, I'm using it on my legs when I shave them, and it leaves them AMAZINGLY soft!! So now i'm on my 2nd helping and have silky smooth legs! Result!!!

I love everything about this product! It smells beautiful (and I am usually not one for floral scents), has a beautiful texture, and makes my skin feel lovely! Will definitely buy it again!

I didn't like this AT ALL, even though I really wanted to love it =( It smelled great in the packet, but the scent started to get really sickly after using it. It wasn't as creamy as I would've expected it to be with a name like buttercream.

Can't review it, haven't yet tried it but how come it doesn't show the chocolately "Heavenly Bodies"?

This buttercream isnt bad but i still love the scent of it it so does definately smell and look like the ring of the roses i luv it soo creamy!

I got this as a sample. rnIt looks nice and the smell is nice, although I wouldn't say it smelt much of roses - more lemony. rnIt's advertised as a body soap, but it doesn't lather. rnI found it quite tricky to use and didn't notice much difference in my skin. I guess this could be considered a luxury. The only thing I liked about it was the smell. Wouldn't buy this item, sorry Lush!

This was one of the very first Lush products I purchased, all those years ago! It has a lovely scent and leaves skin really soft and well moisturised. It does melt very easily so be careful if you leave it in the bathtub too long. Lush should really market this as a buttercream again rather than a soap, looking at previous reviews. It's a great moisturising body cream - obviously the 'soap' category misleads people who are expecting a soap rather than a buttercream.

Great product! I find it doesn't really wash my skin very well, but thats not what its designed for. I always use a shower gel first to wash myself and then use this to moisturize my skin as it gets really dry.

Beautiful scent in the tub, but doesnt last on skin unfortunately. So it loses star for that, however beatifully soft skin with no need for separate lotion when using. Have also used as a lovely facewash in the shower, calm and soothing - thumbs up

I wasn't keen on this, it made my skin feel quite dry after using it which is a shame because it smells really nice.

This is a lovely skin softening product which really does have the scent of old fashioned roses.

Seems like a lot of comments think this is a soap or moaning about its cleaning properties?? I thought it was a moisturising body bar!

Please write a review i got this @ a party & liked so i got some more! mine smells really rosey and goes on skin well. Afterwards though it feels a bit odd it's quite cheap which is good as i dont have much money. :)QQx

By experimentation i found a way of making the buttercreams lather - pop a piece into a bowl of hot but not scolding water for a minute or so, take it out dry it and then mash it up (with your hands) in another bowl. Add two teaspoons of olive oil and a generous squirt of happy hippy/i love juicy then whip using a fork. Not only will this keep the soap (and your skin) soft but the showergel makes it lather and enhances the scent of ROR to a much fresher/sharper fragrance. Give it a go!

I ordered this one off the website, and recieved it in a little lack pot. This makes t extremely hard to use as it sort of crumbles when you try to pick up a sizeable piece. I really need my soap to lather to make me feel clean, so this ones not for me. Im giving it two starts because i LOVE the smell:)

I thought this would smell like roses and lemons, but it smells only lemons. It's not moisturising and it's just like a regular soap but it doesn't lather. So I'm not impressed and won't be purchasing again.

Unfortunately, not as great as I'd hoped. It doesn't leave the skin that soft and the smell is nice but quite subtle. It's also a bit fiddly to use. Still nice for shaving your legs but not one I'd go out of my way to buy...

I would rather suggest going for a regular soap instead of this one. It's pricey, doesn't last nor lathers in comparison to a soap bar, the smell is too light and doesn't stay on your skin and rose petals mess up your bath...As for moisturizing, I didn't nothing anything.

One reason I bought it was because I was intrigued by the idea of a 'squishy' soap, but I was disappointed to find that mine was as hard as any other regular soap. When I went back to my Lush store to investigate I did find that some samples were indeed squishy, but others as hard as mine... However it did make my skin feel soft, it did smell lovely and it did leave me feeling clean but not dried up. I'd definitely try it again.

Ring of roses is fantastic! It makes your skin so soft and it lasts ages, the smell is lovely and the texture is creamy but doesnt lather that well but overall great product! GO LUSH!!!!

Really nice for a skin treat, great smell and feel! Doesn't lather, but thats not the point is it? Didn't leave my skin feeling all that clean, so I can't use it everyday, great for after swimming; to rehydrate the skin!

It had a great calming effect on me.rnrnDidn't lather (which means no unnecessary chemicals), and very creamy, moisturised my skin nicely.rnrnMy only gripe is that the smell from the butter cream did not last long on my skin after i washed.

I got this product in the Serenity giftbox . i got it at christmas as it was made before the 20th of December and if you spent over £20 you got it for free known me i did and when i got home this was one of the products that i tried first.I absaloutly LOVE it i would recomend it to anyone x

I adore the scent of this (like Amandopondo), and love it when it's soft and gooey; unfortunately half the time I get it, it's too hard for my liking :o( But with luck the current move to "tubs" rather than "cakes" of buttercream will help me out and I can come back and give it 5 stars!!! Not only is the smell gorgeous, but when it's soft enough, it's beautiful on the skin. I wish the scent lingered for longer on me, but it's still worth using, just for the scent in the shower!

I love this !! The smell is awesome and i use it both in the shower and out of the shower!!I found that it makes yourskin really soft and lovely you use it in the shower but if your going out to meet someone special you can rub it in dry and it still smells and feel gorgeous. Its my favourite lush cream so far. Again I LOVE IT!!!!

This is perfect for shaving my legs! Gives a slight lather & very creamy and moisturising. I've tried other products for leg shaving purposes and found that Buffy clogs my razor and then big blobs of skin & oils end up stuck to the bath. Have got Ambrosia too but not worked out how much I need yet. I only need a little Ring of Roses, rub between my hands to make it creamy, then smooth on legs. I got this as part of the Serenity gift set so can't comment on price but would definitely buy again.

Ring of Roses was a delight in the shower! I used half the tub and rubbed it all over myself outside the shower, then got in and let the shower spray mix in til it lathered a bit, and washed it away - felt amazing and really got me in the spirit of going out for a date with my husband afterwards.

This is loverly, smells divine, lathers slightly and leaves your skin soft and smelling slightly citrussy! It really helped to sooth my sunburnt skin and reduced the redness a lot. Would definately buy this again.

Smells very nice, but not easy to handle. I used it all over after a dip in the swimming pool and it felt soothing on top of all that chlorine

I loved the solid bar of this, it's much less drying than soap although it's a shame the scent doesn't stay on your skin like Emperor of Ice Cream. Really sad when I went back to buy more that it's been changed to a very gungy looking paste that'll be nowhere near as easy to use or as economical - won't be buying the new one. Tt doesn't smell as nice as the old one either.

I got given a bit of this for free and I thought it was going to be really nice, but it was hard, like wax, and didn't foam up or clean me at all really. The name 'butter cream' suggests that it would be really soft! Have they changed the recipe or something? It smells lovely but doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid.

a lovely product which leaves my skin soft all day. the only downside for me is that it now comes in those little black pots making it a little difficult to use.

Overall I am a huge Lush fan, however I am sorely dissapointed by this product. It does smell beautiful & floral, however it feels incredibly waxy, hard and creates no lather whatsoever, and so I don't really feel clean after using. I have a massive chunk that I just don't want to use/don't know what to do with and it's a waste. Will not be buying again.

I like this, but it doesn't really smell very strongly or linger, nor does it lather. It doesn't melt quickly, though, so you can use a little piece for a while.

I like the idea of Buttercreams being soft and squidgy, but this was just like a rubbery piece of soap. However, it did smell lovely, look pretty and is good to shave the legs with.

I'd never used a Lush butter cream before so I was slightly sceptical before trying this. However it is really good! The scent reminds me of a summer garden, nice and light but very floral without being too girly. I've never used a product before which made my skin as soft as this did, really impressed with that! It's quite tricky to use, and works best if your hands aren't too wet, otherwise it just dissolves away. Also, you don't need to use much, so it lasts ages. I will be buying this again!

This has a nice smell and does leave skin feeling soft. At first I didn't like the consistency. It seemed to just clump into slippery blobs in the palm of my hand in the shower and half of it slipped down the plug hole. I later worked out that I needed dry/only slightly damp hands to rub the butter together first to get a nice smooth cream. I use it as a shaving cream on my legs and underarms.

The smell put me off at first,and I wasn´t really convinced by using it too.But soon I tried it as as shaving-cream and surprisingly it left my skin supersoft and shiny as well.As I have very skin I can´t really use shaving foam,but this stuff works magic on my usually sore skin.rnI hope there will be a lush-shop in my hometown soon,I don´t wanna drive to Colgone every week to stock up!

A nice treat of luxury soap/moiturizer. Works better with no waste if you get it as a block than a scoop of ice cream. Smells very nice. My skin is much softer after.

Rather disappointing experience as I was expecting more from this product. rnThe texture was really hard, not at all like a butter cream. This picture looked totally different from the product that I received, no roses on top which was a disappointment. My skin did not feel moisturised as with other Lush products.rnOn the plus side the smell is lovely and work good as a scent in the bathroom.

i've got 2ring of roses, didn't realise at first it was a butter cream at all due to its hard texture, more like soap. I used it with an exfoliater glove in the shower and enjoyed the after effects. I got a new one which instead of coming in a brown box came in a plastic tub and was totally squidgy! My boyf doesn't like it at all due to the lack of lather. I feel I have to use quite a wee bit to get a really good clean, despite being £1 more expensive than skinny dip! its super lovely!

My one is ridiculously hard, not like a 'butter' at all. Maybe because it's the winter ? (That's the only flaw with your solids and lip balms - they go hard in cold weather and completely lose their efficienciy.) It doesn't melt in my hands, and dries my skin right up. Dream Cream can only just save me from this eczma-provoking monster! I shall apologize to my brother seeing as I liked the look of Roses in the shop, he wasted EIGHT POUNDS on this as an xmas present for me! Both SO dissapointed.

I love the smell of this one. It smells strongly of roses but you can still detect the lemon scent in there. However, I'm not sure about whether I got a dud one, I've bought Ring Of Roses twice now and the first time I really loved the soft and squishy consistency. The one I've bought recently is just hard and waxy, you certainly can't squish it between your fingers like with Lemslip and Skinny Dip.... is Ring Of Roses supposed to be harder than the other butter creams??

I got this after having a desire to try a Buttercream and found this to be the best smelling one.I was a bit miffed that after shelling out £3.15 they couldn't even give me one with petals on top but i got over it!When i tried it i didn't know what to think really,for one it made my body texture feel quite weird,smooth, but like it hadn't been cleaned properly so i had to use shower gel over it because i wanted to be properly clean you know?!Anyway,i'm still not sure about Buttercreams now.2 stars because it did have a nice smell

this smelt like sherbet! it left my skin really soft and smelling nice! i got a big block for my money - and you only need to use a little bit each time.

Thro this didn't look like the picture, (its paler and has no flowers on top) I'm still pretty happy with my block. I got it for my birthday off of a friend who asked me to pick a Lush product I liked the look of but was yet to try. Left my skin very smooth and nice smelling thro not too strong.

I recently ordered this product, aloong with the emporer of ice bar,as a gift for someone. One of the reasons I chose it was the fact that the picture of it looked very pretty. But the product I got looked completly different. Instead of the pretty square block with petals, I got a flat traingle shaped,pale pink,disc that had a very dusty look and no petals at all. It looks awful (as does the other bar) and as a result I am too embarressed to give it as a gift.

What a beautiful product! i didn't get pink flower petals(insted brown....) it left my face, my body, my hair and verywhere else smooth and rosalicious!tip : do not refridgerate or freeze, its so much my nicer to use when it's been left in a warm room becuase it warms up the mixture and makes it feel oh-so squidgy!

Very slight scent, not very creamy, not really impressed with this one. My daughter likes it, but think I'll be going back to Lemslip!

So far, this is the only buttercream i've tried. In the store, it smelled much more of roses than on my skin. On my skin, it was very lemony which was disappointing because I bought it for the rosey scent. The texture is very interesting and I really like it. However, I actually found it quite drying. I will be trying Emporer of Ice Cream next. I refuse to give up on the buttercreams until I've tried them all.

A scrumptiously yummy product that left my aged dry skin feeling soft as a baby's .........! My daughter Joely(9 years old)actually chose this one and I've been sneakily using it everyday. Oh my word!It's almost used up - I need to order some quick! Really FAB product!

Fantastic smell! it reminds me of the first day of the summer hols when I was a kid,got my first one in a My Fair Lady gift for my birthday and couldn't work it out but I'm used to it now. Use it with amandopondo, it's like bathing in a cloud of rosepetals.

I know you're not supposed to use soap on your face and I have tried many different cleansers (even some of the ones offered by Lush) but everything seemed to leave my face sore and dry. Taking the advice of one of the lovely ladies in the London Victoria store 'you can use anything for anything'....I washed my face with this, the results are amazing. Beautifully soft, scented strokeable skin!!! Now it's part of my facial cleansing routine!!An abosolute must if you have awkward skin....it even removes my excessive eyeliner without having to scrub!!!

I don't get these body butters. I think there are much better LUSH products in the bath & shower. I think this one is a waste of time & money. Doesn't smell like much, doesn't have much effect on my skin. Just seemed like an extra unnecessary step while bathing.

I love the smell and it felt really nice when it was on in the shower but i didnt feel that moisturised afterwards and i used quite a bit but the smell makes it worth while!

I left a review to say that this product was not worth the money, hovever after using the last of my piece i had to use soap until i bought something else, im not one for wasting anything. how horrid my skin felt without its buttercream wash, dry and yuck, i came to realise that you don't feel immediately soft in the shower ,but when you have towel dried you will notice it. this goes well with amandapondo bbs too.

I had this is the serenity gift box from my boyfriend for christmas, and its really fantastic for making your skin feel (and smell!) gorgeous. Ive got problem skin, so i thought it could be a little oily... quite the opposite! I used a little on my face and lo-behold clear, smooth and moisturised skin!! Recommended :D

I like anything pink, so I am naturally drawn to this. It's lovely in the shower. As others have said, it's not as gentle on the skin as I expected, but the smell more than mde up for that. Lasted a long time.

This is great! Makes your skin so lovely and soft. I don't need to use moisturiser after showering with this. It also lasts for months so really good value for money. Definitely recommended.
