My grandmother was forever going on about how she and Auntie Jessie, Auntie Hettie and Auntie Florrie washed their hair with lemons to make it shiny. As a small child I naturally assumed she was quite barmy. Everyone knew that lemons were food not shampoo! To appreciate how marvellous lemons are for the hair and skin, some of us still need a little re-education. Not only is lemon juice deeply cleansing, it also makes the hairs surface cells lie flat so that they reflect more light result: shiny hair! We make Antiphilitron with fresh organic lemons plus lemon essential oil to get rid of grease, oil, dirt, chlorine and general purpose muck and to give your hair a bright shine too. (Sorry, Grandma!
