Caca Noir

Pure Persian henna mixed with Indian indigo for blue-black tints. It is an ancient Indian tradition to mix red henna with powder from the dried, fermented indigo root, to give dark hair deep blue glints. Indigo is not cheap so there are some synthetic `black hennas` around but don`t touch them with a barge-pole, promise? Lush Caca Noir is red henna with indigo powder, with the clove oil scent and Irish moss seaweed for softness. Cover it with Clingfilm and keep it damp for a redder colour or let it air dry for a black/blue tint. (Pick up any bits which fall on the floor or it`ll dye the rugs too.)

I am completely in love with Caca Noir.A lot of negativity circulates around the long and tiring process of Caca-dying hair, I found these to be completely false!The process is easy-peasy!I do it over the bath to reduce mess ^.^First I broke up the henna and put it into a pyrex dish, then placed it in a hot bath of water :)Boiled the kettle and poured in enough water, adding more as I go.Slap it on my hair, wrap it up, go to sleep, wake up, wash off and voila!Although I must admit, you might get a headache the first time from the weight of the caca on your head, it smells rather funky too but the end result is amazing, soft, thick, lovely smelling shiny hair.
