what we have done to make this site secure
Welcome to our new digital home! Things are a bit different here. You might find it a bit annoying that I didn't copy your emails and passwords across from the old website, but this is a whole new site, so you'll need to register with us again.
We've been working our little socks off at Lush Towers building this web solution from scratch. I'm proud of the whole team and the techies for having worked so hard to pull all this together.
I've learned so much about security, the internet and hackers over the last year. As a company, we've learned that there is no such thing as a website that is 100% safe from hacking and that it is part and parcel of being on the internet.
There are two main types of hackers in the cyber world.
There is an army of the world's best techie geeks who hack to test their skills and the internet's ability to keep up with them. These hackers keep the internet healthy and on its toes, as well as push web programmers to up their game. They are of no risk to customers. Instead they damage only the website owners' credibility by showing up weaknesses in their sites.
Then there are the other hackers, who are thankfully fewer in number - but who hack for nothing more than financial gain. Their target is stealing credit card details. I've had to ask for a lot of help from third party companies. I've had tremendous help and advice from Trustwave, Rackspace and 7Safe on all of the best ways to protect our customers and between us, we've taken all the steps we can to ensure that your details are as safe as possible.
This new website has been tried and tested by the first type of hackers in our efforts to find out if there is anything more we need to do. Basically, we wanted to know that if we do get hacked, it will only affect our pride and not your security.
